Alan Guy

Alan was born and raised in Bellshill and moved to Glasgow in his early 20s. He became a Christian in 2003 after experiencing God’s grace in recovery from alcohol addiction which then led him to Christ and the gospel of forgiveness.

Having worked in the exhibition industry for seven years he also served as a Police Officer for five years in Glasgow’s east end before studying for a BA in theology and an Mth in biblical interpretation at the International Christian College. He worked for 9 years as the Church Worker at South Glasgow Church and joined the team at Hope For Addiction UK in January 2023.

Alan is married to Ashley and they have two children, Holly and Chloe. In his spare time Alan enjoys reading, cycling and spending time with his family.
